LEM to V1 is the easy way. Lemme know if you get stuck.

That's much simpler than going from V1 to LEM. You don't have the cocking piece spring to deal with.

You still have the TRS to replace, unless yours was a Light LEM. Changing out the TRS is not as hard as many have described. It sure helps when you have a thin needle-point pliers and a good vice. After changing the TRS in a few of my guns, I can swap it out in about 8-10 seconds.

Well, there's not really any way to "fail" at this. I mean, and if it doesn't work, it's easy to take it back apart and try again. There's a ton of resources on here to serve as a safety net, plus, absolute worst-case, you put the parts in a bag and hand it to your gunsmith. Just have a bunch of bookmarks set up ahead of time for your internet browser and you're all set. And as was said, everyone's very helpful here.
