First I wanted to say THANKS to TooSixy and Skullbox for their great sources of information on this forum, but let me start at the beginning.
I was looking for several years to find THE .45 acp that was the right one for me. Tried 1911's, Glock, and SIG's but nothing was just right. Don't get me wrong, they were good pistols but just not THE ONE. I had never owned an H&K before even though I knew they had a great reputation. While at my LGS in 2015, there was this little beauty in the display case, a USP .45 Compact in Stainless. I asked the salesman to let me handle it and it felt great! Well, I left and came home and started more research on the USPC and was convinced it was worth a try. Being primarily a SIG guy, I wasn't thrilled with the V1 trigger when compared to my classic non railed P229 DA/SA, but figured it would improve with use. Went back and bought it that afternoon. Took her out to the range and couldn't believe how accurate and how much less the recoil felt compared to any other .45's I had owned. It quickly was becoming one of my favorite pistols. Still wasn't thrilled with the H&K DA/SA, even after 500 rounds. Because of this I didn't add it to my EDC list (I live in Komiefornia, limited to 3). I REALLY loved this USPC so started checking into the LEM. After much research, I decided to go with the TGS LEM set up.
I watched Skullbox's Vids and read several TooSixy threads then ordered the universal LEM kit from HKparts. I installed without too much problem until the end when I couldn't get the sear, catch, disconnector to fit. I was getting ready to go to my gun smith out of frustration. I've always done trigger and sight installation and complete disassembly/reassembly on every pistol I've owned with no real problems. I went back to the forums to do more research. TooSixy had a post addressing the wrong position of the Cocking piece. Even though I was pretty sure I had put it in right, I went back and refitted everything and BINGO, TooSixy was right. Everything fell into place just right. Now my USPC .45 Stainless with TGS LEM is the perfect .45acp pistol for me and is now on my EDC. This forum and the folks on it are the best.

I did my HK45 LEM by using the tutorials posted here, I also did a VP lobos trigger install as well. Couldn't have done them without the tutorial's posted here.

Again thanks to all of you guys that take the time to do those, They are very helpful and much appreciated.

Now if one of you could just redesign the ruger MK III that would be great, what a pain in the arse that gun is!!!

I have to chime in and mention my experience was very similar to yours. My first install did not produce a desired result, but I went back in and reinstalled everything and it worked perfectly. I have since done another LEM install on another pistol, and that one went twice as fast, and I got it right the first time.

I'd also like to express my gratitude to TooSixy for his invaluable contributions, so well written, so clear and with great pictures, not just with LEM conversions but also with countless other things here on the HKPro forum. I don't think I could enjoy my HK as much without his contributions. Many thanks TooSixy.

Many thanks also to skullbox for the LEM Videos, which were also very helpful.
