LEO program

Maybe I can get the right direction here straight from the source. I am a Deputy Sheriff in MS and looking to purchase a P2000sk 9mm V3 for my back up weapon. I looked on the HK-USA site and what I could gather was that I just really needed to contact my local HK dealer and they could handle the LEO pricing and ordering. I did this and they told me I had to order direct from HK and just have them transfer for me. I showed them what HK-USA site said, and they told me they would find out and get back with me. I asked this same question in the military/LEO section of HKpro and was told that the price list one of the members had showed $911. This can't be right, I can get the same weapon on gunbroker for less without LEO pricing. So what is the low down? What is the process and pricing? Thanks

I would call directly to the HK LE division and talk with them. Also try Interstate Arms Corp They are a national police supply firm and an actual HK LE distributor who will give you the IOP pricing. Like I said before, HK takes a little off the MSRP for officer purchase but you can do much better with private vendors. The LE packages do come with 3 magazines. Bill

3 magazines and night sights as well. Better pricing can be found on the internet, but the IOP is handled through HK's civilian/commercial dealers. They do not sell directly to individual officers, with the exception of their program with DHS.

HK will not ship directly to officers. Agencies only. However, to get LE pricing, call their customer service line and ask for the LE sales division. They will take your order and ship your firearm to a dealer for transfer to you. That's what I was told as I am planning to order a P30 direct from them shortly.
I know I was offered a LEO discount from HK years ago when I went through some of there armorer courses. I can't remember how much it was but I do know a friend of mine that owned a gun shop said he could give me a better deal at that time.
