I just traded for this used pistol and noticed that the ambi slide release on the right side is rather loose. In addition, there seems to be a hole that serves no purpose. Did I get a gimpy pistol?

Loose right hand release is typical- mine was loose when it was new. A proven fix is to cut a piece of self adhesive Velcro- the soft part, and stick it to the under side of the release. Works perfect.

Mine rattles when I shake it. But it doesn't bother me.

Common...my ex-p2000sk did the same thing. No worries.

Use a small piece of felt tape if the rattles bother you.

It will also do it with the slim slide releases as well. Slap a thin strip of electrical tape on it.

What about something like Teflon tape on the male portion of where they fit together?
