If I might ask: How do you know?

/edit: I rephrase/add, just to be sure: Who do you mean by HKI?
Because I know the process by which they were acquired, modified and imported.

HKI is a person who incorporated in my home state and lives about 25 miles from me. The firearms bear HKI import markings, versus later batches that bare B&T as importer. AU is not in my home state and to the best of my knowledge, he is not an owner of AU.

I am not claiming they were not one of the parties involved, but they are not the entity who imported.

"A small collection of <grenade launchers>"
Seriously. What the heck, you guys?
Like, do you all lead some kind of Walter Mitty alternate life where your womenfolk just assume that you're at the golf course?

I'm definitely interested in one of these, but at this price it would need to be genuine HK. Even if it were authentically licensed HK, I think their description is misleading. I would still be interested even if this information was disclosed, but not at the $5k price. A GSG9 clone went for ~$2300 a few weeks back (https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/1015042297), and I thought that was high. Admittedly though, I don't know much about the collectibility of GSG9 stuff, but it's all cool to me nonetheless.

On a side note, I'm very interested in 37mm and 40mm stuff, so If anyone's looking to offload some things then feel free to hit me up.

So it's likely not a civilian CAPCO production run as well (I would assume that they don't have the capability nor the need to do any further development for a product they have a as-is production contract for).
Hopefully I'm not hijacking the thread here. And, I believe @German doesn't reside in the states, but does anyone know if Capco has produced civilian M320's in the states? Gunbroker turns up nothing other than the GSG9 clone I already mentioned, and someone with a purported authentic HK M320 stock.

Capco has never manufactured any civilian 37mm launchers that I’m aware of.

Sooo...We've established the launcher is indeed a Kale Kalip KGL40 (37).

The real question is, who went ahead and marked or re-marked these things with spurious HK M320 markings/German proofs and who was all in on it?

Yes, excellent question. A possibility is that they were actually licensed, right? However, it could be more devious as @IronBalaclava suggests. In which case, that is not cool whatsoever.

A possibility with a probability close to Zero.
Yeah, I'm gonna with that. If it was licensed, It should still bear all the correct Kale Kallip markings and importer markings (not sure about a non FA like a 37mm, though). Checking out their site, their whole lineup is super Sus.

Who wouldn't do his due diligence for such a stunt?

As already said above, that's not the first time that the seller is involved in something like this.
Somebody with poor impulse control and more money than brains. "A fool and their money..." and all.

I'm one of the guys who did get in on the Colt M203 37mm deal that AU worked out (It's been a registered 40mm NFA DD for years), but I really did my homework before committing.

AU has done right by me in the past, but I do recall some shenanigans going on-something to do with Colt M4 marked receivers arriving at cloners FFLs marked simply "carbine" or something like that.

What else did I miss?

Wow, I would have been interested in this for sure. I'll do some research, but about how long ago was that?

Me, too.

About 4-5 years ago. It was a very decent price on an over run of M203 from a cancelled Mexican? contract.

Mine is now DD.

They were only $2K at the time and transferred on a regular 4473 as a Title 1 firearm (receiver) with a smoothbore 37mm barrel.

They go for about 2-3X that on GB when one pops up for sale. Before these, there was a VERY limited number of transferable M203s:

Very nice. Anyone looking to move one of these, please hit me up.

It's baaaaaaack! Minus HK markings and the nonsense. The info still seems dubious on them.

So did they remove the fake HK markings or were they never really there (photoshopped) in the first place?
