Are there any 922R issues with removing a fake supressor from a clone MP5? I believe since you are removing parts, and not adding anything that your parts count should not go up, hence no 922.r issues. Anyone else more familiar with this than me. Of course this would be after the Tax stamp and new markings.

922 does NOT apply to weapons that are registered under the NFA as short barrel rifles. Until the registration is complete and the approved tax-stamped form is in your hands, do NOT remove the part.

I am doing the same thing (registering a clone as an SBR). What form did you use, how can I get one and was there anything you would recommend doing based on your experience? Thanks in advance. RS

you need the following in duplicate...

Certificate of Compliance

Form 1

FBI Finger Print Cards

You can get the finger print cards from the ATF, just call the NFA branch and they will send them to you, then go to the local PD and get the chiefs signature. Also, I am sure the officers can print you for free at the station. They do at my local PD.

Enclose a check payable to the BATF in the amount of 200 $

Then mail it all out and wait...

and you can get this without the 20 year apartment with Bubba...
