I purchased one of the Classic HK USP 9 compacts and used it today for the first time. I was shooting 124 gr. 9mm ammo, about 200 rounds and zero issues. I greased it up with Weapon Shield, generously, my SOP with all my firearms when using them for the first time.

Here's my question.

As far as I can tell, it is designed and intended to be used in the following way.

Chamber a round, then put it on safe, holster, etc. Draw, safe off, shoot, then back on safe.

With the trigger in this thing, would you ever NOT put it on safe? Is the LEM trigger different between the first shot and subsequent shots?

I guess I'm not getting it. Not sure f I'm making sense with this question or not.

It was very fun to shoot today....not sure how I feel about the LEM trigger yet, but it is a sweet shooter. I think I liked it more than the P30SK I just bought and shot today. The other thing I like about the USP 9 Compact is its ability to accept the VP9/P30 full size mags, but I recognize I have to get the spacers to avoid slamming the ejector.

I love LEM and have several. I explain it to people almost like a two stage trigger on a rifle. There is take up and than a break. Once you figure out the sweet spot for the reset, LEM can be shot very quickly.

It wont get you Gary Mucilek like splits, but for CCW it is great...perfect in my mind and I carry a P2Ksk in Light LEM IWB at 5 oclock position.
