It is shark skin trim. Feels very comfortable.
Got lucky by checking out Milt Sparks facebook page.
In the photos section there is an "In Stock" section with pictures and in stock holsters ready for purchase.
This HK45C holster was on there and I picked it up.

I have 3 more holsters on order and will wait for the delivery date sometime in July or August.

I bought this one from their in stock section. But got my other vm2 holsters via order. Right now they are 15 weeks out on new orders. That's the shortest lead time on Milt Sparks holsters in 5 years.
