Out front of the US Embassy in Grosvenor Sqare. Figured I would snap a pic on my way out. I asked, they obliged. I've got another in front of Buckingham Palace coming up, but that was with a different camera.
What is the deal with the red strip/paint on the rear of the receivers? London is a fun place for observing G36c's, MP5's and MP7's -- all over the place!
It's an ID sticker, when signing out you ask for your firearm by number rather then picking one up at random
View attachment 32962 claimed to be a 416, not so sure myself few bits look wrong

Good grief, this picture slays me. I wish I could remember more of the tour of England I had before my last visit, but I'm almost sure I drove right by this exact scene. It was in northern central England and went on for miles and miles of soggy bogland with absolutely no sign of it ever having been inhabited. Looked like a great place to lose your entire cavalry to enemy longbowmen in a Medieval battle. My wife and I started amusing ourselves by making up phony English place names like "Bleakingdon" and "****eschester" and "Mildewshire" going through there. We eventually made it to the astonishingly beautiful Lakes District that looks like something out of a Tolkien fantasy novel and wondered "What in the HELL do you think was that swampy wasteland behind us, anyway?"

I don't think we REALLY drove past this exact area, but if our British pal can take a shot at guessing where this may have been I'd like to know.

G36 (well worn as the flash suppressor had little black left) by police at the Manchester Airport in England. We had a large group (two teenage soccer teams) traveling home to the US and these two officers were at the check-in, security, and our gate. I found it rather interesting that the same two showed up at each location. Is this typical for security at the England airports to watch over large groups?
