Looking to mount a EOtech on my V53. What mount will clear the front sight? What EOtech is the one used with most of these I see on images (551?) the 552 looks way too long. Thought about also mounting a Z24 scope? Is this practical? Bear with me I'm a new HK owner. Thanks.

Go to Robert RTG parts, they have great optic mounts for HK's for 20-30 bucks.

I have a several eotechs on my HK's and clones. My favorite rifle is actually my V53 with an eotech.

And no you dont need any holes. Infact be careful not to clamp down the mount to hard and squeeze the reciever, it's not common by I've seen it happen.

BT-21262-1 is what I would go with. For $120, they mount up solid and are well made. In the beginning, I started out with other, less expensive options (MFI for instance) and spent more time messing with them, having to file them to fit specific guns, etc. B&T are the best, and HKParts and RobertRTG are now carrying them. Used to be, you had to buy them from out of the US and have them imported, or just buy used on eBay, etc. Now that B&T has presence in the US, with several distributors, I dont know why anyone would use something else, other than rail welded to the top of the receiver.

Good to hear that was the mount I was going to go with.
