For the most part, yes. The straight (aka 'stick' mags) were designed first.
Then, as some reports were fielded indicating that hollow point profile/OAL
may have been less than 100% reliable, the curved magazines were introduced.
So just be aware and if you shoot a lot of HP ammo and find some FTFs out
of your stick magazines, try curved mags. If no problems, just stay with the
