I have a contract HK MP5 flat that I will be building up into a SBR. I have a demilled MP5 front end that I was planning on using on this project. The barrel has good lands and grooves but a small amount of pitting just ahead of the chamber. I can't shoot the barrel to see how much accuracy is left in it and have considered building the gun up with a stainless steel Coharie 3 lug barrel.

I have had some Bobcat and Coharie SBR's that are VERY accurate. I haven't put very many rounds through them. Usually I just test fire for function and accuracy before I transfer them to a customer. I don't have any high round count experience with how these barrels last.

Just interested in what your thoughts are regarding the Coharie barrels for this project.

Thanks,
Darin
