What are the advantages to getting the new "F" upgrades on a MP5 or clone? I know it shoots +p ammo but is that the only difference.

If one shot standard ammo out of each would the F version hold up longer or be more durable?

Mp5 f has upgraded cocking tube support and handle, BCG, a3 stock, ambi sling attachment points under from sight. Barrel has 16 flutes vs the older 12

And yes most of the upgrades were requested by the French to handle hotter ammo.

I really couldnt tell you what they are ordering. I would guess it would all depend on each department. Easiest difference to notice on the mp5f vs the standard mp5 is the ambi sling attachment under the front sight.

the mp5's i've seen in our armories in the AF have all seemed to be A3's

Departments do have F guns because they have all the newest upgrades and can be reliably fed 124-gr or better ammo. 115-gr can be problematic with the heavy recoil rod.

Depends on the recoil rod spring. Regular ammo might not cycle the gun correctly. But if you use a regular spring, the result of the othe parts might be longer life.

Is it possible/legal to have the HK MP5 stamped on the top of the LSC receiver like the original HK receiver?

I am thinking of ordering a clone from Dakota Tactical but would prefer a HK94 mod if I could afford it.

I never had a problem shooting fiocchi, s&b, AE, 9mm 115gr with a F recoil rod. Im sure weaker 9mm would have problems though.
