Hey guys,

I got a lead on a wide handguard, and a Burst lower housing, and I have a green POF A2 stock, and I'm thinking about duracoating them Tan. What does HK Pro think of Tan furniture? It'd look like this when finished, but with an A2(this is the only picture i could find. )

Thoughts?

Honestly, I'm not really a fan. I think with tan, it looks better when the whole gun is done.

I think it looks really cool and would set it apart from the rest. Go for it. Worst case, you can always redo it in standard black. I wish someone would start molding various furniture pieces in different colors.

Unless you can get a durable magazine in the same color I wouldn't do it.
I might like it if most of it was tan except for the barrel and magazine but
looking at pictures of tan SCARs I really like those with all of it black except
the stock buffer pad, barrel and sights.

I think it looks cool. Just another way to change it up. You see AR's all the time with FDE furniture on them. All brown would look cleaner but you need to keep your options open right? Go for it

In all honesty, I prefer the OD green or even that faux walnut look you have in the previous pics of the Hk91, but it's yours and who cares what I think. What's the worst that can happen? You don't like it and you have it refinished again.

We will all admire the gun porn and express the same opinions about it, whether it's proposed or done. The end result needs to be your opinion, not ours.

I'll just express mine to say that the dark earth color (3rd picture in your second post) is more to my liking. Then again, I would really like wood furniture, myself.

The third pic is my old stock set that I sold on the board a long time ago. It cane out much darker looking in tbe pic... It is the same color as the first pic in the group...



I like thw light tan color of the mp5 in the irugibal post.

I couldn't stand desert tan and urban grey USP's for a long time. Now, I wish I had them.

Go for it. Do what you like. Heck, if I could pick up some cheap furniture, I would do some in pink for my daughter.

I think a different look can be a good thing. Being a carbon copy gets old sometimes. I've been thinking about going OD green on my MP5 SBR, but I really prefer the A3 stock setup and don't have the heart to Cerakote it. Of course, at that point you might as well do the entire gun and leave a few accents.
