I just got a Surefire forend for my MP5K clone and had a question. On both side rails there are threads in the 2nd hole that are 1/4X20 threads. Where these put there for a reason or just used to tool the things?

I posted a pic below with a screw in the hole to show exactly where I am talking about. Was just wondering if I was missing out on something I could use these threaded holes for. I am also tring to figure out a way to mount something on the bottom rail to act as a "hand stop" when not using the vertical foward grip. You know, something like the original SP89 guard that stopped you from shooting your fingers off! Anyone find a rail adapter that will work for that?

Thanks,

Rick
