Hit it with a plastic or dead blow hammer and you'll feel it compress. When I bought my heavy buffer, it felt locked up. I held it like a knife handle and slammed it into a 2x4 and it seemed to break loose and began compressing, but I still couldn't push it in under weight.
MSG 90 / PSG 1 buffer
Greetings. So I shelled out the "long green" for a PSG 1 buffer, arrived today. I am confused (not an unusual state for me) as there appears to be no "buff" to it. That is to say the "piston" does not compress with nearly all my considerable weight on it. Might as well bolt in a solid steel rod for the bolt-head carrier to interact with. What am I missing here?
