264 days after I submitted the the F4 for it. That obviously doesnt count the previous F3 time or build wait time.
Dang the ATF has slowed in processing.

Anyway here she is in her full glory.
I've decided that I can't shoot it so it's being "put up". I have an AAC can for my Mark 23 anyway.
It's too nice to shoot. This was from James' group buy. Waiting for the SD and MP5 cans.

I'm curious if others will shoot their KA cans or not. I will try to post a poll asking that but my posting skillz may be lacking.

Pretty can and good job with the poll. I'd also have a hard time shooting it if the new one was my only can for that model.

Epic wait time there from the ATF, only going to get worse for form 4s approaching the July 13th 41F cut off. I'd bet on 300+ day waits becoming a norm until they work thru that glut.
IDK... I just got a form 4 approved this months at 246. Most I've seen is 260 days. Seems to be holding.
Congratulations--- I will not utilize mine (short of an apocalyptic scenario)--- mine took @ 4 months (March to July) from paperwork receipt to pickup!!!

Tony
Shoot them all!!!! I got a couple. I use a couple.
Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself. The KAC can is the tits... shorter and better than the AAC imo.
Yeah, you're going to want to shoot it. It feels totally different with a KAC can. Hard to describe. Just gotta experience it.
I already shot mine a bunch of times
I know mine are definitely getting shot. My form 4 cleared last week also, brought home twins, one for the Mark 23, one for the USP Tactical.

So if I remember correctly, you have one for the Mark 23, one for the Tactical and the CT suppressor, right?
It is of course your decision but why wouldn't you shoot it? Are they cool? Yes, but my understanding is the design is over 20 years old and they are heavy as hell. More modern designs are quieter. Since there is such a big hole in the end, .45 can never be as quiet as 9mm with all other factors being equal. So you saving the thrill of the first round through it for the next owner? Again I mean no offense, I just don't understand. Congratulations.

Scott
Yeah Scott I see your point. And I'm a shooter (& clone host whore among other things) not a safe queen collector. I don't think I'll shoot it though. Just keep it as a collectible probably. If I didn't already have a good .45 can then I'd def. use it. I guess ultimately it's the fact that it won't thrill me to shoot it so I won't. While most of my MGs are shooters I do have an unshot 1919 and plan to keep it that way. But that's bc I have other 1919 that I do shoot.

I think Neo may be right here. I just had a Form 4 clear from late April which took 240 days to clear from Sent to Received. Incidentally enough for a very slightly used KAC Navy can - Merry Christmas to ME! The longest wait I have had was 312 days for an SBR application about 2-1/2 months after Sandy Hook. I sent in four SBR applications on 7-9-16 which could slide into the 300 day range given what sounds like a flood of last month applications. Hope not.

Dang, this class 3 stuff does require patience...
There might be newer suppressor designs, but I could say the same about the hosts. The KAC can and 1990's HK host were meant to be together. Mine will be shot.
It's a can. Shoot it and enjoy. All else is folly.
Congrats!!!!! Looks good, its yours do w/e makes you happy, you can always shoot it but can never take back that first shot through it.............I have some many things in the system now its almost like Christmas every month my dealer will send a text hey you got a stamp in
Dont have one, but I would shoot it against other .45 cans that I had, to see how it sounded. Then, if it wasn't some life-changing experience, probably just keep it around for photo ops, to say "I have one" but otherwise, cans like Dead Air Ghost 45M, Tirant 45M, Rugged Obsidian all suppress well, and I see no reason to beat up a KAC can.
Wow! Awesome congrats! Do they still make these or is that an "old" inventory?
