I thought I might share some precious moments with everybody here. I took my niece shooting today. This is the first time she has ever shot a firearm. Set up a few targets at 50 yard line and set her in position to fire the PTR91. Despite all the set backs that she may have to endure such as the shoulder breaking recoil that we all hear about from time to time, she pulled thru with flying colors and a smile on her face. She endured to the very end ready to return another day! The 50 yard target is all hers. I share a few of my pictures below including her shooting her late Great, Great, grandfathers’ Colt .45 auto.

Always great introducing someone to the shooting sports... even better when it's a young person... and best when they are family! :3000000:

Just two questions.
Why start her on a .308 instead of something smaller?
Where's the eye protection?

Way to be a good Uncle. Are her parents into shooting at all?

Glad she was able to handle the punishing recoil of the massive .308 cartridge that all those AR boys complain about.

Answer to the first question is....That's what she wanted to shoot

Answer to the second question is....That is a good question and that is something I overlooked! I guess sometimes (some people, not all) make mistakes don't they?

What a perfect way to spend time with your niece. I have done the same with several of my younger family members.
Best of days for you and yours.
