Hello,

I would like to ask the community for some help. The last time I shot my usp .45 it would not function correctly. When I would pull the trigger, the hammer would not fall "unless" I pulled the trigger extremely hard. I have the LE trigger if that makes a difference. It had always fired properly and has a light trigger pull. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I buy HK products because they are supposed to be the most reliable, i know i replaced the factory trigger, but the LE should also be just as reliable.

LEM?
Not super familiar with the internals but I swapped my LEM components for SA/DA internals and I recall that there is a pin that has to be oriented a very particular way. I will try to see if I can find one of the write ups that makes note of it, and we can see if that helps your issue. If you haven't already I would search through some detail strip and replacement threads, there are excellent write ups on here.

Otherwise, I know someone like TooSixy or Estesmonkey will probably know exactly what's going on with your USP!

So did this start it's life as a LEM or did you change it? What date code is your USP?

It did not start with an LEM trigger, i changed it immediately and its been used that way ever since. Has over 3k rounds through it since then; the USP never gave me any issues at all, not 1 single malfunction until now. It still fires, but not in the correct manner. Date code is BD.

Did you put a stop screw in the trigger, like a real Match trigger?

Two things come to mind: out of spec trigger bar or broken flat sear spring. I would take everything apart and double check. Or contact HKCS and send it back to have it looked at.

the trigger stop has not moved, and I don't like to be without my USP :( I will break it down tomorrow and inspect everything.
