I installed the LEM kit from HK Parts a while ago onto one of my USPc9s. I have a couple of lingering questions, however.

1. Is there a difference between the new hammer spring included in the kit, and the original spring?

2. What is the difference between the "light" trigger return spring in the LEM kit, and the standard DA/SA TRS?

I appreciate any light you guys can shed on this.

1. The hammer spring in the LEM kit is the heavy LEM spring. If you want heavy LEM, use that. Otherwise, keep the original HS.

Thanks for the info, TwoSixy. That's what I thought about the hammer spring, but when I searched HKParts.net to find the difference between the two, I can only find one hammer spring for the USPc9, this one:
HK USP Compact Hammer Spring - HKPARTS.NET

FWIW, it's the same color as the one in the LEM kit, and different from the color of the standard spring in my gun (silveryish).

Here's the hammer spring that comes in the LEM kit (part 214695).

There are 2 HS's in that kit. The shorter one is for HK45c only.

Ok, I kinda had the same question about the light LEM trigger return spring, mainly because I want to put the Match trigger return spring into my pistol (already have match components in the back) and can't find one, and was wondering about the light LEM spring. Now that you point out that the light LEM is pretty much the same as the normal SA/DA, where do I get my hands on a Match trigger return sprint? Or, is there really a difference?

Someone posted here that he called HK Cust Svc and was told that he could use a different TRS than the Match TRS. He didn't post the part number. You might want to call HK and find out what part it is. I am sure many of us would want to know.

ETA: Just got off the phone with HK. You should be using the Match TRS, but as far as trigger weight goes, the standard (DA/SA) TRS is the same as the Match TRS. He said that the DA/SA TRS that comes with the USP fullsize or compact could be used as an alternative. They expect to have the Match TRS back in stock in 45-60 days.

I just received my light TRS and FBS springs and put them in last night and they are not worth the time it took to install them.

That's what HK told me; use your original TRS. If you're doing the Match + LEM Hybrid, you'll also need a match hammer spring, which is the same spring as in the HK45 or USP compacts.

So to do this right, I need the Match TRS which is out of stock right now, but I can/should use the TRS already in my USP until it does. In addition, since I didn't order the match hammer spring, I missed a trick since I am doing the LEM/Match hybrid. Is this correct?

So (forgive me if my questions sound redundant) the TRS I already have in my full size USP is the same thing as the one sold in the Match kit? I also just realized that I don't have the nickel plated sear spring... Need to buy one now, does it make a feelable difference though? < Nickel plated sear spring.

No. They are different, but they have similar trigger pull weight.

ETA: The Match TRS is 215679. The DA/SA TRS is 214164.
