I just picked up a new to me BE date code 416 parts kit. I am going to install it all on my transferable colt lower and I plan on shooting it suppressed primarily, but it came with the standard vented gas block. Is it worth it to switch out for the adjustable gas black?

Has anyone ran both gas blocks that can give me some first hand input?

I agree with @thehun to try it first and see. You can always make adjustments to the buffer and spring as well, beyond the hk red spring and red dot buffer. I run a Geissele 42 with H3 and non vented gb. No issues with sup or non sup. I've ran vented and the waffen burk as well. Both are cool, but may not be needed unless highly over gassed. May depend in your particular suppressor too. Meaning the type, such as regular or flow through like a OSS.
