New Addition to my HK family

Just picked up my xmas gift to myself, HK VP9 was added to the family and what a nice shooting gun. I really liked the LEM as that is what I have on my P2000SK and HK45, but out of the box the VP9's trigger was very smooth. The VP9 is my new favorite gun!

Congrats. Be safe.
Congratulations on a nice handgun choice. I love my two VP9s.

OP, a question about the LEM triggers on your two hammer fired HKs since you now have the VP to compare to them. I just become interested in the P30 and tried one at a local gun shop which had the standard DA/SA trigger. The owner told me to try the trigger as much as I wanted. After a half dozen snaps each in double action and single action I handed it back. It wasn't that good. Without doubt it will be better after a few hundred rounds but I wonder about the LEM trigger. That shop had several HKs but none in LEM.

I have shot double actions Smith revolvers for decades and currently have a couple of Kahrs. The Kahr P9 is especially nice, like a tuned DA revolver and like a revolver it has a long reset. Is the LEM similar to a smooth DA revolver or a Kahr action? Does it have a long reset?

Thanks.
Three winners! Congrats on the new pistol.
A great gun, only way to make it better is a VP45..
Black Falcon? Don't you mean Green Falcon? lolol Congrats on the VP9. Let one of the jr Azimuths shoot mine for the first time yesterday. Now he wants his own. He shot the P30l too and much preferred the VP9....like his old man, but I didn't prejudice his opinion with mine.

I grew up shooting revolvers, and own an MK9, one of my carries...............you won't find ANY trigger as good as the Kahr trigger for da only. Super light, super smooth.
Congrats with your growing family! Love my VPs too!
Congratulations on the newest acquisition!!!

Hi Brodie,
The LEM has a longer pull than the VP. I actually prefer the VP as the reset is shorter and it seems that I can get faster follow up shots than the LEM model. It could also be that the VP is 9mm and the LEM is .45 and .40 so it recoils it bit more, but not a whole lot. I've been shooting Glocks for many years so I am maybe use to the striker fire pistols. A friend has a P30L with DA/SA and thought the DA was very heavy. It was new, so perhaps it just needs to be broken in. If you have been shooting your VP9s for a while, the LEM may feel strange as the long trigger pull. Thanks
