New HK battle grip short review

Got this grip in today, must say it’s super comfy! Much better in the hand feel than the V7. I only have a p30sk with the web grip frame so the panels are too small to use on this. Although I doubt I would change the grip out as it feels amazing but that’s definitely personal preference. I have large hands to note as well. Threw it on my g28 and love the aesthetics as well.

Where did you get the S&B shark fin throw lever? I've been looking for a few of those forever.

Saw the "review" in the title and was kinda hoping for things along the lines of pro/cons/insight on the texture, grip angle, filling of and feel in the hand and how it helps/hinders/has no effect on control, use in different shooting positions and otherwise observations on driving the rifle...:(.

Nice rifle though...especially the optic.
To this day, I can't look at the S&B "shark fin" and not think of Ed Grimley

I sprawled out on my carpet with it, in hand feel for me was much improved. It had a little more length across palm, but not as wide "Fat" as a V7. Angle seems the same as V7. I would need some side panels to really see if it could be "Better". Trigger finger is deff a little more parallel with frame. Outside of feel in hand, I just got it in and hadn't been to range yet to give it some paces. A further review would have a little more insight from me, but not that in depth. I'm just a weekend range hero. Agreed Sharkfin is hideous, I like the Aimpoint throw levers better, but no options. Side note I've never cared for the aesthetics of the batwing grips either.

View attachment 380293 View attachment 380293 These adaptive battle grips are slowly starting to leak out and eventually may become more widely available (and less expensive). I agree with OP that I like the feel of these grips better than the current MR series. (Previously I favored the V2). The adaptive battle grip comes with M side panels and an M backstrap, but no replacements as far as I have seen.

I didn’t see any definitive answer to the questions raised about panel interchangeability, so I compared the various HK interchangeable grip panels and can confirm that the VP9/VP40 SIDE panels do fit the adaptive battle grip. (That is, they slotted in and the backstrap fit back over them without noticeable fit issues. I can’t measure exactness.) The M’s that came with the adaptive battle grip have S F P in the little circles at the bottom (on the left, likely signifying EU sourcing, and likely confirming they are actually SFP9 panels). The backstrap is NOT interchangeable with any HK pistol. As you can see below, the VP9/VP40 backstrap (the one on the right in the shadow) has a part that extends up into the cavity in support of the lanyard notch and that renders the backstrap incompatible with the adaptive battle grip. In addition, the retention/clamping pin is located further up the adaptive battle grip than it is on the VP9/VP40 (you can see this fairly well in the second photo on post #1). The geometry of the other HK pistols (P30/P30SK/VP9SK) also differ so that none of the panels or backstraps from those pistols are compatible. Finally, the RAL8000 adaptive battle grips are lighter in color than the VP9/VP40 “FDE“ pistol, so while the side panels will fit, they will be somewhat darker in color than the adaptive battle grip itself.
