So I get what I think is a smoking deal on a P30 in 9MM with night sights and 3 mags for $600. Only issue, it has no decocker at the rear of the slide or left side safety paddle. To convert to V1, what am I looking at with regards to which parts to order?

600$ p30 LE model with LEM trigger, and you complain ??

just kidding, great price !!! your lucky, i paid over 7oo for mine

master the LEM trigger, i have never shot one, but i plan on getting one in the next purchase, or the one after that, just for fun.
I hear a lot of good things. light pulls on every strike, all same weight, kind of peaks my interest.,

I've been dead wrong lately so I'm hesitant to post - LOL.
Though I'm not sure even I can get this wrong?
My P30 is a factory V1.
It's Light LEM and has no external decocker at all...

I can't find the exact video or instructions but this should get you going in the right direction if in fact it is a v2.

LOL - now that I've re-read your post? I think I get it.
The variants with Hk are not consistent between models.
V1 in the P-series (Light LEM) is not the same as V1 in the USP series (DA/SA decocker safety lever on the left).
I'm thinking you bought the wrong variant.

Sometimes it's cheaper to sell the wrong variant and buy the right one.

Sounds like you have a factory Lite LEM model....my P30 is Lite LEM but no night sights and only 2 mags that came with the gun..

If you don't jump on this deal..please pass the info to me...lol
It's the Hk LE version.
V1 Light LEM with three mags and NS.
Maybe you two can make a deal?

I've got the same thing in P30SK
Although I swapped out the Meps for Heinie Straight Eights
I'm strange when it comes to sights...

OK, so I will admit to my ignorance to this fine forum. I took my P30 to the range and discovered several things:

1. It is a V1 LEM - loaded mag, racked slide, hammer retd to down position without firing round in chamber (hmmmm.)
2. On first shot, double action pull was incredibly smooth and light
3. Subsequent trigger pulls were just as light
4. Big smile on face after last shot fired and middle of target at 21' feet obliterated with 15 rounds

For the record, I am NOT changing a damn thing to this new carry piece. (Well, maybe some Talon grips, but that is all.)

And thanks for not flaming my ignorance.

Congrats on a great purchase! I have the same pistol and it is laser accurate. I think you totally scored on that package and would be nuts to do anything though it seems you already know that. Don't sweat the flaming, everyone is new to something and we have a really great membership here. We all look forward to more range reports from you though I'm sure many will say "pics or it didn't happen!" :)

Congratulations on your purchase. All my guns are LEM, I have the P30 SK, L and full size. That said, I could use a little less creep on that trigger. It is not a complaint, just noticed it is there, but have gotten used to it...I assume for safety reasons.

Great stuff, & good call on keeping the Lem. All my HKs are Lem--uspc45, p30, & p30sk. Just requires some training to get used to. I like that every shot is the same pull with the only possible difference being the double strike capability long pull. Congrats again on the purchase. The P30 is an incredible handgun.

Congrats on your LEM P30. I love mine. Just recently picked up a P30S V3 Grey frame which I also love. The P30 is such a nice pistol. Still IMO the best looking pistol that has ever been made by anybody.

I notice when people mention LEM they always say it requires training/getting used to... it seems like the same could be said for sa/da...

What is it about the lem that causes this pretty consistent comment?
