Just wanted say hello to everyone. I decided to join the HK family and bought my first HK in the form of the P30 :) . I haven't had a chance to take her out to the range yet but looking forward to sending a few hundred rounds down range on my first outing with her. :61:

Besides Blackhawk any other concealable holster manufacturers? Also, can forum members reccomend reputable HK product retailers for mags, clothing, firearms?

Thank you!

Welcome aboard

- magazines: On- point firearms, midway,

- Hk webstore for clothes

- I got my P 30 and Hk 45 from Gordon Miller, hkspecialist.net

There's more, just be patient, others will jump in

Enjoy that P 30, I'm bound for the range here in about an hour

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new P30. I think CDNN is the best for HK firearms and accessories. Their prices and service can't be beat. Mags are currently sold out at most places but more should be in soon.

Check out Comp-Tac for holsters

+1 on the Comp-tac. I don't have one personally but another forum member recommended the comp-tac ctac for concealed carry. You can also check on crossbreed holsters.com. Mark does excellent work, shorter lead time then most custom places and excellent customer service.

While at the local gun store, range. I asked if they had P30 Mags. I was surprised at how many they had. At $38.99. Plus I get 10% off. One of the bennies of joining their range.

+1 Mark and I usually do our shopping in the same place. The only bad thing about your new pistol is that all others fall short in comparison. At least they do to me.

Well, after almost two weeks since I got my P30 I finally had the opportunity to take her to the range on her first outing. Overall, WOW! I was very pleased with the way she shot especially with Winchester 147gr HP no issues at all with a total of 120 rounds. Although, I need to run a few more hundred rounds through her and change out the grips to suit me. I did notice something different, when the slide is locked back after the final round has fired and you remove the empty mag and place a full mag in and SLAM it in the slide automatically goes forward without hitting the slide release. I tried doing the same thing with a empty mag and it would not slide forward, kinda like a auto slide release built in! Anyone else? Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining a bit, it only does this when you slam in the full mag.

Well, I hope to go to the range again this Saturday to run more rounds down range with my P30. :61:

I had the happen a couple of times with my P30. I'm going to the range to-morrow. I'll see if mine does it again. It may be just a slam issue. IF mine does I'll contact Travis at HK.

Slamming a mag in and having the slide release simultaneously is not a defect. A lot of semi-autos do that. Just be aware so you have the gun pointing (as you always should) in a safe direction. Knowing it does this is an added feature. Great for IDPA matches and defense if necessary.

An empty mag won't do it b/c the slide locks back on an empty mag.

Its perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. I believe it even states this in the owners manual. I actually like the feature.

Great feature to have. IF your in a firefight or not. No need to hit the slide release. I didn't think it was a defect. But a quicker way to load without having to hit the slide release.

Congratulations on your P30. I LOVE that gun. The customizable grips on the P30 are wonderful. I like how slim it is too. It can be concealed pretty well, even when wearing a suit. The problem for me, is that my son has the P30 and I can't seem to get it back from him. Surprise surprise!

I carry a PSP-7 and adore that little beauty, especially for concealed carry with a suit.

Enjoy the P30 and every other HK you'll buy before too long :).

Best
