Greetings,

I purchased a used/LNIB P7M8 at my local Range/Gunshop last Friday. The gunshop clerk informed me that it came to them directly from HK. The internal and external condition of the weapon indicated that it had not been fired other than the compulsory factory test firing. All kit parts included. Brush and scraper unused. It has Trussville, AL. on the slide and has a "AG" date code. Can any of the attendant P7 'Gurus' inform me as to the significance of these markings?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have 'nosed' around this place a little more before posting. The link that you provided is a great resource.

The '06 date code makes sense. The gun was being sold as "used", but had not actually been "used". The gas piston was completely clean, and the inside of the barrel looked like a mirror.

Anyway, the pistol is a joy to hold and shoot. Very happy with it. I've already ordered a set of Nills grips and am considering sending it to Tripp Research for a Hard Chrome refinish.

Regards
