Just got this in today from MM. Had him install paddle mag release and 3-lug barrel. Glad to finally get to shoot this one! Once stamp arrives with add stock and VFG. Omega 9K is also in jail...

Please see pics and let me know your thoughts. I'm pretty stoked! Love the way the barrel and paddle mag look. Trust name was also engraved on rear-tang and looks good.

Hope to get it to the range soon!!

Oh and I also meant to ask if the pics below looked normal to the experts out there (I am not). The foregrip seems to be at a slight angle compared to the upper receiver and so the barrel is not centered in the muzzle. I looked at my other all stock SP5K and its hard to tell if this is normal because the barrel is shorter and doesn't extend as far. With the grip off, everything looks correct and straight. Thoughts?

Love the backwards ammo humor in USP mag, lol. Everything looks great, man. I just purchased a SP5K also and was wondering where can I get this mods done?
And forehand grip alignment looks normal to me..
Is there not a certain amount of normal play on the front hand guard naturally? There is on my MP5 RS since that is just held by a front pin and the back, a plastic catch. If the steel is all straight and the barrel parallel to a straight cocking tube, I'd say its just the plastic part with natural play. I do not see how a barrel could be set into the trunion crooked and still function properly.

I ordered mine from MM and he did the mods before shipping.

There's actually not much play at all, but I assume it has to just be how the plastic fits as the barrel looks fine with the foregrip off.

Very nice setup. I never thought till just now but need to try if Tirant S fits in that hand guard.
Looks great, how long is the new 3 lug barrel?
Who is MM?

MM as in Michaels machines

It's the same length as a standard MP5K-PDW barrel which I believe is 5.5".
Very nice--- thanks for the pics!!!

Tony
Who makes the barrel?
Mike of Michael's Machines told me he makes them himself. Haven't shot it yet. Have 500 rds of Nato spec 9mm on the way.
Looks awesome, I may have to buy another one damn you and get it config-ed the same way. Mike does awesome work and his 10mm barrel fixed my MP5 10 clone parts kit build that was having issue related to the old barrel. He makes good stuffs :)
What rifling does Mike use?
Honestly not sure. I just said "yes sir. how much? (and I'll have another!)". Lol.

What rifling does Mike use?
6-groove, right hand twist. Looks conventional. Rifling all the way to the end of the barrel (past the 3-lug and threads). 16 flutes in the chamber.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure he'll correct me, but that's what I can see with my old eyes looking up from the chamber. 👀

Here's what mine looks like with the 3-lug. I went with the standard foregrip because I don't like the look of that ugly shroud.

What's the price range? Did you buy it post-modified, or send it to them for modification?

Bought it from MM for his price of $2529. The mods included the barrel (mfg and installed by MM), the paddle mag release, the engraving of the trust name, and a vertical fore grip for after the stamp is received. These additional items were another $700. He did the mods then shipped the pistol; I never saw it until all the work was done. But he did provide me the SN very early on so I could file the Form 1 before the deadline which was very much appreciated.
