Really am taken with H&K quality and value. Recently purchased three (HK45T, P30S, and P30SK).
Questions: Since it appears H&K USA does do custom work or gunsmithing (beyond warranty work), who are good gunsmith who work on H&Ks? No current need for one, but this is a reference question.
Related question, best source for small parts (mostly springs, etc.)?

If you like to tinker with weights, Wolff allows you to play around quite cheaply.

Best thing you can do is call HK customer service and talk with them. They have ALL the springs yull need. The LEM hammer spring has a little different role than a DA/SA hammer spring. You're not pulling against the hammer spring after the hammer is cocked , it's only used in a second strike situation.

OK, OK. I signed up with the H&K Forum back in 2007 when I was looking at a USP on GunBroker, but it sold for more than I had available at the time. I have finally see the light and made the plunge into the H&K world. Very happy so far. This post will double my posting rate. Thank for the information in response to my questions, and the other good stuff on the Forum.

Glad you joined the HK train! USPs can be found at bargains a lot of times.. especially if you're open to a .40S&W. You're gonna want to give it another shot!

@Crashmc I'm having some emotional issues adjusting to your lack of avatar. My life coach suggested I go into my safe space when I called his cell last night at 3am because I couldn't meditate effectively thinking about your missing avatar.
