What is sandbagging?
Sandbagging refers to non-productive or “fluff” posts made solely to boost your post count. This could be a sudden burst of activity or a string of low-value posts. Often, but not always, members try to boost their post count in order to gain access to the marketplace because they have something to sell. Regardless of the purpose, the moderation team and forum staff has full discretion in identifying and removing these posts. If we catch you sandbagging, your posts will be deleted, you may receive a warning, and your activity will be closely monitored. Repeated offenses may lead to further disciplinary action, up to and including a permanent ban.
Part of your membership agreement here is to read the rules. While ignorance is often the cause of these violations, it’s no excuse, as the rules are crystal clear.

Why are my posts disappearing?
Post deletions are at the sole discretion of HKPRO staff, and we enforce the rules strictly. If your posts are vanishing, it’s likely because they violated one of the rules you agreed to follow, were off-topic, or were flagged as sandbagging.
Why does it matter? Why can’t I just access the marketplace?
The internet is full of bad actors, and we work hard to protect our members from scammers and grifters. To safeguard the community, we have strict requirements and carefully review new members’ activity.
In short, don’t try to game the system. We have seen it all.

- Moving from introduction post to introduction post welcoming new members, especially with the same message copied and pasted or using 1-3 word posts.
- Thanking every person that welcomes you. Save your thank you’s for the end of the thread and thank everyone at once for a warm welcome.
- Replying to other members posts individually rather than using the multi-quote feature to respond to multiple posts in the one post of your own.
- Welcoming others to the community is best done by established members who are familiar with the forum. We encourage new members to take some time to get settled and participate in other areas of the forum before taking it upon themselves to welcome others.
