Hey guys, I'm new here and just had a question. I own a USP 45 compact and it has been making a rattling sound recently that I can't figure out. Is that normal? I don't think I ever noticed it before. Also can't figure out if its coming from the trigger group or somewhere else. Anyone have issues like this?

Is it with a loaded magazine in the gun? i.e. - bullet rattle is a thing...
Probably coming from the plastic recoil buffer or loaded mag
It rattles without the magazine in it. I also took off the slide to be sure it wasn't the barrel. Its coming from the frame
Then put some oil/lube between the catch/control latch/disconnector.
I'll give that a try. Thanks
Ok so after closer inspection I'm 95% sure that the rattling is come from the hammer spring or strut. I don't see any way I can fix that and as far as working, the pistol performs a function check just fine. Should I take it to an armorer and have them look at it?
Right hand slide release lever.
Good try but there is no right-hand slide release lever on a USP or USPc. LOL

Have you tried cocking the hammer back and see if the rattle persists?

I wouldn't worry about it. Go shoot it and shoot it some more.
