I've been on this forum quite awhile but apparently I forgot my creds and didn't want a lockout for exhausting 5 attempts, so I re-registered. Hoops a'plenty! ; )
It's an awesome gun I waited 3 months for. I didn't know it at the time, but I laid away a night sight model, which is cool. I was also impressed that it came with 3 mags. I do wish they made this model with a spur hammer, and I'm debating the factory replacement, but I hate shipping guns off. Wish it was as easy as replacing a 1911 part!
I remember asking here, when I was looking into this model, whether general user consensus was that it was as accurate as the full size. It's certainly as tight as my FS. I was assured it was as precise.
As with all things USP, the Leather Ironies abound: I have a nice skin-thin Don Hume IWB for my full size, but it's a fat gun and hard to sit on in a car. I bought the Compact as a thinner option, and my dream rig -- an Askins style -- is available for the short skinny one that doesn't need it (Blackhawk compact), but not for the full size. Go figure.
