Good morning! I've been a handgun shooter for 40 years, but bought my first HK on Friday-a VP9. I really like the way it fits my hand and it seems like a very well made pistol.

I have a question regarding spare parts. Beyond extra mags, are there any springs or parts in this model that are prudent to keep on hand in case of breakage/wear? If there are, it sure is nice to have a spare or two in the drawer instead of going to Brownell's website only to see "Out of Stock".

Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to the site. I don't know of anything you'd really need to keep on hand for a VP9. The flat recoil spring should last to around 10k rounds. Haven't heard of any problems with the trigger return spring, extractor spring or plug, striker spring, or mag release spring yet. If you do want to order parts, straight through HK customer service will get better prices than most of the other places. Hkparts & MGW do have a lot of parts in stock & very fast shipping though.
