"He said he started out smuggling cigarettes and then 'it just spiraled out of control.' "

Right....it spiraled out of control ....with all the recruiting you did !!

" ~~busted were his 11 cohorts, including seven other active and retired NYPD officers recruited by Masso."

Carrying of a rosary, sobbing, and his comments....what an actor.....what a douche.

What really bothers me is this :

"Koeltl (Federal Court Judge handling the case) gave Masso credit for his 19 years as a cop and ordered him to begin ~~"

WHAT ? That should be the other way around. He should get harsher punishment for abusing his position. That's like allowing lighter punishment for priests and teachers, when they sexually abuse children...WTF !??

But it's New York, and because he had 19 years on the job he knew the right people... They probably would have let him off if there wasn't such damning evidence. They had to do "something" to make it look like he was being punished.

Really? A cop sent to the state pen and you think he got off light? I just hope he survives. Though I have serious misgivings about his hind quarters virtue remaining intact.

Wait, what? Whatever happened to NYC's gun crime being the cause of places like Pennsylvania and Virginia with their irresponsible and reckless gun laws that freely arm dangerous criminals? :600:

It's not about the cop or his punishment. It's about the NYSUCKS act and the political agenda. This is a perfect example of how criminals will always be armed, police are human and there will always be abuse, and law abiding citizens shouldn't be punished for for the reality by removing rights.
See, politicians would say this is a success story since he was caught, and how hard it is to traffic guns, and a cautionary tale to dissuade others from similar crimes. They are justified, no, HEROIC for goin all out to get every gun- if ya cant trust cops, you REALLY cant trust the public. Ave citizens dont mean to be bad, they are just childern who can't help their stupid, weak nature... They would applade themselves for taking guns... THAT is the BS.
