Flying Elephant of Death??? FCOD is a good guy--- we ate at Hooter's in the only Alabama HK meet that I could muster. I am not aware of any civi ranges in the area.
Ha. Thanks, Tony.
Yeah, Hooters was a good time and that's the only one I have been too also. Its a shame we are such a sorry bunch of organizers in this state. We can never seem to get a meet together. I haven't come across any ranges here locally, but its not too long a drive to go to some family land in Shelby Co. to shoot.
I remember that meet. I had planned on coming, but my kids and I had a cutting horse show to attend. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, but never went to any ranges there. That hat will go over big down there
So far the move has been pretty good and I have enjoyed living here. I haven't found a local place to shoot, like I said, but I hear you can go to west Tuscaloosa or Alberta city and shoot all you want :38:
I was in Auburn for years. I moved last summer -- which of course meant I left right before the best time in years to live in town.
My lofty aspiration is to get another Ala. meet together at some point for food or shooting. Maybe now is the time since college football is done ...
There was a guy running around town trying to get letters of intent to use a range he is building out near Brookwood. No idea if it's already a go thing or just trying to fund it at this point. His maps with overlays made it look like a nice place.
Last word is the guy is waiting on the property to settle. So, it'll be a minute or two before that's an option.
