On 90s series Rifles is it the grip frame or the trigger housing that counts for 922r compliance

I am pretty sure i have read if the Grip frame has a US grip on it it reduces the import parts count by 1 and the grip frame itself is not counted.

and the housing on the inside of the grip frame that holds the fire control group counts by having a US made trigger box also reduces the import parts count another 1 part.

So a Imported grip frame with US grip, US Trigger housing ( the box inside the gripframe) US hammer, US trigger and US Sear reduces import parts by 5 and counts as no Import 922r countable parts.

Thanks

Grip frame, trigger housing and pistol grip are three separate parts. Grip frame and pistol grip would only count as one part if you were to use a one piece polymer grip frame.

Example with metal grip frame; trigger housing, hammer, trigger, sear, cocking handle, bolt carrier, and muzzle device to make it legal- so 7 US parts for 922r.
