That is the exact trade I made for my P2000 .40.

Zero regret.
If you like to shoot do it 9MM is only 10 bucks for a 50 round box and the ammo can be found almost everywhere. You don't find 357 Sig everywhere and the price is a bit higher I love my P2000 9MM
I hear HK in .357 is discontinued...where as the P2000 9mm can be picked up anywhere and everywhere...for a long, long, time.

This, for me, doesn't make the trade even.

I think fifth makes a very good point in that the 357 Sig cartridge is no longer available in hk firearms so, with that being said you might want to opt for a better solution and that would be to save your money and buy a P2000 out right and just keep that 357 Sig.

Sometimes you're better off not asking this question and going with your gut. Everyone will have a different opinion based on their personal preference and requirements. If you want a 9mm P2000 more than you want a .357 USPc then I think the answer is obvious.
I think this is a very fair trade. The one thing to keep in mind would be, if you want to shoot the .357 in the future you should hold on to it now. They may be a little hard to come by down the road.
Unless you just have a thing for the .357 Sig, I don't think the matter of them not making them anymore should matter. It's just a personal preference. That is unless you are looking at it from an investment/value point of view.

I will give an example. A couple years ago my LGS had OD Glocks marked down about $50 less than black ones. He couldn't give them away. Fast forward a bit, Glock discontinues OD (thank God), now I see used ones selling (Yes, actually selling) for $100-$150 over what a new one would be.

Anything is worth what someone else will pay for it. If you trade, and you are happy with the trade, then you have made a good trade. I have been known in the past to be very quick to jump. Sometimes I have had regrets. I have never had regret in trading my USPc for my P2000.
well after trying to sell it locally for $600 with no one interested, i decided to trade for a 9mm p2000 with 4 mags...
