The best upgrade in my opinion is to replace the mag release with the HK45c "extended" mag release. They actually have them in stock at HKParts.net right now, so jump on it! You don't say what variant you have (V3, SA/DA or LEM V1, V2 or V4), so you may have more opinions once you clarify that point. Another nice feature of the sk is the ability to use the P2000/USPc mags (12 rounds) with the X-Grip for a full grip when you don't need to have the smallest form factor.

Welcome to the forum! HK is no longer making any firearms in .357 sig. I don't think it will truly increase in value, but it all depends on what people are willing to pay. You don't NEED to modify anything, but a HK45c mag release is nice. I would suggest getting a .40 barrel so you can shoot .40 (which is a little cheaper). Post some pictures of your new acquisition!

My son was looking for a p2k sk 357Sig and was informed by the LGS that they are no longer being made. He ended up geting one in .40 with plans to get a 357sig barrel. The p2k sk LEM 357sig is the perfect carry gun IMHO. Hope you're right about it increasing in value. Out of about 25 pistols that I own, I only have a couple that I can actually say I are worth more than I paid.

The.40 barrel and extended mag release have already been suggested. I would also look at getting the higher capacity P2000 magazine with the X-Grip. Other than that, a good holster and a supply of ammo you should be good to go.

What is your source of information that HK is no longer making firearms in 357 SIG??

Doesn't seem likely with certain contracts for that specific caliber probably calling for it in the Law Enforcement Community, and a quick search on google showed similar statements to be false..

Thanks...

My source is this forum. I know it isn't the best source, but when it comes to all things HK, I tend to trust certain members when they say something. A quick stop by the customer service portion of the forum (which is actually HK-USA customer service) could probably get an answer straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

My source is HK USA! They don't make them anymore!

If a LE contract for say 1,000 guns called for .357 sig, I bet they would make them again, but that's a big IF.

Congrats, I used to have a SK as well. Awesome gun but I eventually sold it...not sure why...just being impulsive I guess. I just picked up a new P2000 .357 Sig though. Will replace the extended floor plates, replace the firing pin block spring, and put the extended release on. Enjoy!

im wantin to say i read that the 357sig barrels are made in limited runs and is why the are almost twice as much as the 40 barrel

Definately. I had wanted a .357 barrel for my P2000. But after looking at some of their prices, I have decided that unless I come across a used one someone wants rid of, I think I will just stick with .40.
