In my never ending quest for the “perfect” carry gun, I took home my latest H&K addiction. A lightly used P2SK.

I did a bunch of reading here first. Enough that I wanted to give one a try.

If I like it as a shooter I’ll do the dreaded ( for me ) holster search OWB preferred in leather, but warming up to kydex.

The mag release is a must change. That I can tell. Oddly enough my pinky fits barely. Extended shooting may give my middle finger hell up against the mag release though. Won’t know until I shoot it.

@KRISTO my thoughts exactly on pistol choice for carry.

@Jslow a definite on the HK45c mag release. Where to buy? I would assume direct from HK or HKParts.

It came with 7 mags. Two being 13 rounders. For which I need to get sleeves for. The other 5 mags are 10 rounds. And one of those is likely not going to get used, it is marked for a P30 and sticks out the bottom a bit and I don't think a sleeve will help. The other I think is a USP9c and if the base plate can be changed it will be fine, if not I'm not sure I like the pinky finger hangin' out in space. They all lock in and the slide locks open. I will test to see if they all feed well once I make it to the range. Rain forecasted all next week while I have vacation. Might be going to the indoor range.

I need to research holster compatibility more. I seem to recall some designated for other models do fit the P2SK. There is a holster by Legacy I bought for another gun that I like, but Legacy doesn't have an option for the P2sk.

For leather I like the Slide Guard from High Noon (had one before for G30S) or Mitch Rosen 5JR. But if I'm going to pay that much for a leather I might as well get a Milt Sparks 55BN (IMHO best 1911 holster).

For a kydex OWB I've read about a lot that are liked, but for me I keep finding the ones that have a lot of material at the muzzle end and are pretty wide. For cc I'd like it to be minimal material that isn't going to have much showing if my shirt is raised from reaching for something in the store, helping my kid, etc.

Enough mumbling via key board. I need more coffee.

I really liked my P2000 then I got this new P2Kk and it is fantastic as well. Definitely going to have to put the extended mag release on it though.
I do agree that it is a bit underrated.

I was debating and thinking on which holster to get for this new P2Kk and actually purchased this one off HK WEB Store.
I really like it and to add a bit of vanity. It also has “HK” moulded into the holster.
I usually like custom-made holsters rather than a manufactured cookie cutter type but this holster so far is excellent…. Just a suggestion.

I don't recall exactly what it was that I read when contemplating the 30sk vs the 2ksk. I think it was that it was more like a USP. Dunno. Can't remember stuff like I used to.

Can hardly wait to put some holes in paper.

P2000’s/SK’s don’t have a proprietary rail. I mean I guess that early Saudi contract one did but that was different all around. (Mags etc.).

You may need to use a “Glock” or “Universal” key insert or whatever you light uses but not USP proprietary by any stretch.

The point I was trying to make is, it’s not Picatinny…

That’s a good holster. It sat a little too high on the hip for me, so I returned mine. If you like your holster higher up, you would really like that one.
