I finally got my P 30 L. What a beauty. All proportions are looking perfectly.
Size is better, than expected. Not to big and not to small.
Now the search after a good holster is starting. Cross draw should be possible, too.
I love that gun.
I tried to make a photo here, but as being not a computerspecialist, i`ll do it later.

Congrats! I am hoping that the P30L will make it to the U.S. sometime next year. Looking forward to seeing some pics :).

It is going to annoy me a lot if Hk doesn't bring the P30L to the U.S.
While I will find it annoying I can live without it. I would have prefered the L to be more like the Elite only with the P30 lower. Oh well, you know what they say about opinions.

Even in Germany, it will come out officially maybe January oder February. Maybe later.
Because of a little helper, i got it earlier with connections.
I don`t think, it will come out in the US. Sorry for that, don`t know, why.
But if we can buy firearms in the states ( with problem, okay ) , it should be possible for you to get them from Germany to the states, too. Germany and the USA are no indiancountrys. Maybe over an US dealer for firearms.

I don't understand why it wouldn't come out in the US. I thought it was just a P30, but longer?

Yeah I wonder if it is possible to personally import a P30 L into the U.S. I know I have heard of one or two guys on this forum that somehow imported a Hk P8.

Hk just doesn't make a ton of sense to me sometimes. They have these new version pistols out (Hk45 & P30) and it would seem that these are going to be the new age USP's...but they only offer the 9mm in a compact pistol...why not a full size as well? You'de think they would offer fullsize and compact versions in 9mm and 40 S&W as well...not just for the .45

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I know, every HK handgun made since the 1960s has been available in the U.S. What makes anyone think that P30L will be an exception? I'm not following the logic.

I'm hoping the Canadian laws will help get it to the US. They made an extended barrel for the P2K to make it legal. (http://hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72104) The P30 as is, is not legal due to the barrel length, which would mean it would be easier for HK to just offer the P30L, which is legal, in Canada. Since it's already coming across the pond, it would make sense for HK to bring it to the US.

That's my theory and I'm sticking with it, cause I REALLY want a P30L.
