You would think HK was actually trying to keep this a secret. It's not even on the HK USA website. Google "gray P30" and nothing... Just happened to see it listed in Cross Creek Guns sales add on Sig Forum of all places! HK - if you are listening, please offer the P30L in gray too. Also, fire your new VP of marketing.

I'm assuming this is the same formula as the new VP9 gray frames. That gray is NOT the blue/gray of the AE model USPs. The USPs are a lighter shade of gray with a tinge of blue. The VP9 - and I suspect the P30 - frames are much more "true" gray with not blue tinge. Pretty comparable to the gray in Magpul products.

I'm posting this here for those that didn't see the thread in CCG's section.

That's pretty cool. I was under the assumption that since the VP9, the P30 was getting the back seat to 'new' stuff... mainly because it's true.

If it were an L in V1 in FDE it would be quite hard to resist.

I saw one of these today at my LGS (Shooter's World in Tampa). Love the hue of the grey frame. I'd like it in a P30 V1 - fingers crossed.

I'm sure it is beyond hope but I'd love for them to do a run of USP/USPcs in this new grey. Instant sale for me but I doubt we will ever see them.

Would it be worth selling a black P30s to buy this gray one? Thoughts? I'm tempted..
Not at all… buy yourself some more mags instead.

Anyone know the rationale for HK quietly releasing a single alternate frame color for a single gun?
Marketing costs money, people will find these available either way… in this day and age I don't feel it's necessary for a color print magazine ad for every little development that comes along.
