Hey guys,
I've had VP9s and absolutely love them. Never had a problem with the inner trigger guard due to the short trigger pull. Recently picked up a P30L V1 in .40. I converted it to the V4.1 and put 150rds through it yesterday. It shot great, but noticed it was about 2" low at 10yds. Already have a shorter front fiber optic sight coming in from Dawson. It shot great with no hiccups but noticed the "trough" inside the trigger guard was quite annoying to my trigger finger. No matter how I placed my finger, it would pinch/rub. I decided to disassemble the frame again and take care of the "trough". I started with a sanding drum on a dremel at low speed and began recontouring the inner trigger guard. Once the "trough" was gone and everything fairly even, I started sanding from 150 all the way up to 2000. Once final sanding was done, it was hit with plastic polish for a refined look. Already feels 100% better. I'll have everything reassembled once the nickel plated sear spring arrives from hkparts and the internals receive a fitting/polish. Hope this helps others who are hesitant about taking a dremel to their frame. Just take it slow and keep it at slow speed to not burn the polymer.
