Please forgive me, I searched for this answer but I couldn't come to a conclusion.

Is it required to detail strip the pistol to change a trigger return spring in a P30? I have performed LEM conversions in the past, but I have never needed to only replace the spring until now. I'm taking a V1 to a V4.

Thanks

You can doing it by just taking the slide release off . I've always used that opportunity to clean up the trigger group while I was in there . The tricky part is keeping the trigger bar from moving to far forward while you're working . The P30 TRS is the easiest one to do ...... I'd give it a go and if it don't work , break it down .

Thanks. The videos don't answer the question because they are a full LEM installation (of which I've done 3). I just wanted to know if I'd screw anything up by just popping out the trigger pin and swapping the spring while leaving the sear/hammer/disconnector intact.

Just did this exact thing the other day....no problems just switching out the TRS.

No need for a complete detail stripping when you're just changing the TRS.

What you should watch out for is when you pull out the left-side slide release lever. Lift the TRS right leg (which rests on the notch on the release lever) before pulling the lever out completely. Same thing when re-installing. Push in the lever and stop when it contacts the TRS. Then lift the leg before inserting the lever all the way.

I have a P30 Detail Stripping tutorial in the Reference Library that you can review.
