Hi, I am new to the forum. I have been in the market for a new handgun for a while now and have been going back and forth on which HK to get. I finally decided on the P30 but have a questions on the variants. This is a chart available on Wikipedia, I erased the other variants, and left the two i have a question on.

Variant Action Trigger pull Trigger travel Notes
V0 DA/SA 51 N (11.5 lbf) (DA)
20 N (4.5 lbf) (CDA) 14 mm (0.55 in) Features a cocking piece, spurred hammer and a decocking latch.

V3 DA/SA 51 N (11.5 lbf) (DA)
20 N (4.5 lbf) (SA) 14 mm (0.55 in) (DA)
7 mm (0.28 in) (SA) Features a spurred hammer and a decocking latch.

My question is what do I gain or lose with going with either variant over the other. I know the V0 is the basic model, but I don't know what is really different about the V3, they are both DA/SA with the same trigger weight. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

I can. The easy answer is that it doesn't really matter unless you're in Europe because that is the only place that V0 is available. The real answer to your question is that V3 is DA/SA while V0 is LEM with a spurred hammer and decocker.
