First local IDPA match was yesterday and used my trusty P30L in 9mm. Again the girl ran like a champ and as long as I do my part the pistol is fast and accurate. Love that gun and IDPA shoots. If you are thinking about doing a match w/ a P30L do it! The thing works great.

Great job getting an HK on the competition field! I have used mine for USPSA since December and have no regrets, it is very competitive in the Production Division.

Just as an FYI, I am using a Comp-Tac belt holster and Comp-Tac pouches.

I have a P30L and a P30 en route, soon as I get holsters the L will be going to IDPA from now on. Congrats on getting out to shoot, I just started recently myself and I am hooked.

I've been using the USP 45C in IDPA matches for a while now and I'm usually up near the top of the CDP division. I haven't done a classifying match yet, but I'm addicted!

Have been shooting a M13 in IDPA for years, but was getting ribbing about moving into the current century. Have shot a 9mm P30L a few times and liked it for a change. Wanted LEM, but ended up with the standard DA/SA. Might leave it that way. Haven't shot traditional double action in years, but its not that much of a burden for the first shot. Have had no malfunctions except I have to be careful with my grip not to engage the slide stop and not have it go to slide lock on an empty chamber.

I'm using a Blade Tech HK 45 pancake type holster because it was available at the range and a Safariland double mag pouch with paddle. Also have a HK45 and the P30L seems to fit very well in the Blade Tech. I'll end up getting a dedicated holster for the L.

If anyone is interested, Colonial Shooting Academy in Richmond, Virginia has a 9mm P30 LEM with true night sights and HK knife in the mid $800s. Seemed like a good deal.

Ouick question.

I am looking to use the P30L V1 either 9MM or 40SW in IDPA. Being this is the LEM model would I have to use the version with the safety P30LS?

I use all my hk's in uspsa, including the p30L. I'm surprised more people don't use them. They are great!! Bladetech holsters for my mark23, vp9, p30l and expert.
