On P30 and P30L barrels, towards the end of the barrel (muzzle end) their is a very slight step-up in the diameter of the barrel. On the P30, the step is 1.5cm or 0.6 inches from the muzzle.

Is there anyone here with a 9mm P30L that would be willing to measure the distance from the muzzle of this step on their barrel, when they have a minute?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Awesome! Thanks TooSixy!

HAR! As we suspected...P2000, P30, and P30L barrels are all exactly the same except for length. Maybe that's not news, but I had to see it for myself I guess...especially with Hk saying they were different.

The stepped portion of a P30L barrel will also be long enough to extend back under the slide in both a P30 and P2000.

Which is cool because the factory p30L barrels that hkparts sells will still lock up tight on the p30 slide. I got worried about that right after I ordered mine but found this thread which is re-assuring.

I just ordered a couple of those myself Serpico...and I'm very confident that they will fit perfectly. The locking blocks will certainly be the same...and there should be plenty of barrel step left up front to ensure the barrel rides through as tightly as factory.

Can't wait for my 9mm Tirant to be approved!!!
