Even if you were using +p+ ammo I don't think you would be hitting 6" high. From what I understand from this forum with your sights aligned ( ooo ) you should be hitting behind the center "o" at 25m.
I have seen many examples of HK literature that doesn't translate properly or change from one variant to another. I would suggest a sight pusher, and a different front sight height.I shot a lot through my P30SKs this weekend, and I had a question regarding the zero on these guns.
Are P30SKs zeroed for POA/POI at 25 meters using the proper sight alignment listed in the manual?
I know the manual says the POA/POI is 25 meters (27.3 yards), but the manual is for all 3 versions of the P30, so I wonder if the P30SK is possibly different than the P30/P30L. I ask because my shots this weekend were consistently 6” high at 25 yards (and roughly 2-3” high at 10 yards, etc.). They never landed in the bottom half of the target and were roughly centered on windage. This was with multiple different P30SKs, so the issue has got to be either the factory zero is super short (5’ish yards?) or I’ve managed to develop an awful upward flinch as I get used to the LEM trigger.
I’m leaning towards the latter, but I want to make sure because I’m ordering sights and would like to get the proper front sight height for a 25 meter zero if the factory POA/POI isn’t that. Does anyone know?
Thank you!
Exactly! Same here, which is why I wondered about this. I still feel like I developed a slight upward flinch, but that's weird as my previous flinches when I was learning to shoot handguns were always the common low and left.I have seen many examples of HK literature that doesn't translate properly or change from one variant to another.
