I bought a very clean P9S 45 Combat the box is a little beat up and it has the book and test target and 3 mags and a leather holster. I'm the second owner of this gun and the guy I got it from is a good friend and he bought it new in 1983 the gun is a 1982 date code. The guy I got this from said the gun would be lucky to have 50 rounds through it in its lifetime. I gave him $1,000.00 for it.
Dose anyone no how many 45 were built and than how many were built each year they were made if you do please let me no
Thanks Nick

Hey Nick:

~ 50,000 P9S's made in total of which 5000 were in .45 ACP almost exclusively for the US market... I don't know the breakdown between combat and target models but I am sure one of the members here knows the answer...

Considering how few were actually manufactured those of us with multiple examples of these fine weapons are extremely fortunate, especially those of us with more than one in the rarer .45 caliber.
