Locate dead center of each hole for the mach-catch. Go down 0.6150" and drill a 1/8" hole on each side (but absolutely no larger than 1/8"). Once the flat is rolled, you will need a custom-made bushing for the paddle. Install the paddle using the bushing and 1/8" O.D. rod. TIG weld the ends of the rod to the receiver and grind smooth. Then mount your shelf.
Got it that you for the advice sir!!

You're welcome!

NOTE: If you make the bushing yourself, you will need to machine in (or use two washers) for each side as the paddle is narrrower than the space it sits in. If you do not, the paddle will slide side-to-side and bind up. For reference, the bushing needs to be 0.610" long and the working area for the paddle needs to be 0.480" long. If you make the working area any shorter, you also run the risk of binding the paddle.
Thank you again... I am going to kick on the lathe this weekend and try to get the bushing done I am hoping to have a working firearm by next weekend.. I have my powder coat guy on the ready for me on friday...Thanks
