Hello,

I just purchased a VP9 FDE LE model. After shooting on the range for the first time using 124gr ammo x 300 and taking it home to break down and clean the first issue was the slide no longer slides off the top of the frame without pulling the trigger. When I first purchased and inspected the weapon, I was able to remove the slide by just pushing forward without pulling the trigger. The bigger issue is when cleaning the slide I noticed what appears to be jagged edges that don't seem to be intentional on the small protrusion in front of the firing pin hole. Attached are some pictures, if they are not clear I can take some more. Please advise thank you.

The slide you have to push down before pushing forward, not sure why. Or pull the trigger, but I've found that's not necessary. I can't really tell from the pics but I don't see anything I woudl be concerned about, but to be safe I would the photos to HK. I don't know if this forum is checked by the actual hk cs team or not? I am surprised no one else responded. Maybe repost in the handgun or range report section..good luck!

The pics are tough to see on my phone- but all I can make out that appears like a crack is the slightly milled section. As others have said, give HK a call and they will likely want to see the pics. Many years ago I had something on a P30L that I thought was a defect- but after sharing the pics with the HK team they assured me that it was normal. Hopefully that's all it is on your VP9.
