Several weeks ago I set about seeing how difficult it would be to remove the magazine disconnect from my P2000. It turned out to be a little more complicated than I thought it would be and I decided not to do it. After finding out I would need to completely remove my trigger bar, I decided to put everything back together and leave things as they were. I noticed a couple days ago that the mag disconnect no longer works. Best I can figure is that I didn't put it back together correctly. The weapon still functions 100%, but I have the pieces in for a mag disconnect and they aren't working. Do you guys think it's ok to keep the mag disconnect pieces in there even though they aren't working? The only reason I don't want to do this, is this is my CCW piece and I wouldn't want it to not work when I need it most.

You might have something in a place that could bind up the gun with a slight shift. I would take it apart and make sure you get it back together properly. You may be able to get some helpful hints from HK service.

When did they add the magazine disconnect to the P2000?

Is there a schematic for these parts?
